In-Office Face Lift – Your Questions Answered
What is an In-Office Face Lift?
The In-Office Face Lift (also known as a “mini-face lift”) is a face lift that can be performed in our office under local anesthesia in about one to two hours. It can help reverse the effects of age, gravity, and/or weight loss by removing excess skin in the face and neck and tighten the deeper facial muscle structures to give a more youthful but natural appearance. Laser resurfacing is often performed in conjunction with this procedure.
How Does an In-Office Face Lift Compare to a Traditional Face Lift?
While a traditional face lift is done in the operating room under general anesthesia and takes about three to four hours, the In-Office Lift allows for less recovery time, less expense, and more flexibility while giving fantastic results in a safe and controlled environment. Both the “mini-face lift” and the traditional face lift have incisions made in similar areas and both give great improvement in skin laxity and facial tone. What are the Typical Results that I Can Expect?
Results vary from person to person; however, a more defined face, neck, and jaw line will be created which will give you a more youthful and rested appearance. Firmer, smoother skin along with a decrease in deep wrinkles can be expected after the swelling goes down. During your consultation with Dr. Timothy Janiga, you will receive realistic expectations of your personal final outcome, as well as instructions on how to prepare for your post-op recovery.
