Facial Implant FAQ’s
How are Facial Implants used?
Facial implants are used for strengthening and balancing facial features. Chin enlargements and cheek implants help create or restore desirable contouring of the face, strengthening, and balancing facial features.
How are Facial Implant procedures performed?
This procedure is typically performed in our Reno outpatient surgery center under general anesthetic. Incisions are made in inconspicuous locations to augment and refine facial structures. Alloplastic or Injectable implants can be used for this procedure. Injectable implants may be temporary and sometimes require repeated treatments.
How long will does a Facial Implant procedure take?
The procedure takes between one and two hours with an additional hour of recovery time before leaving the Reno surgery center.
How much recovery time for Facial Implants?
Depending on your profession and need for personal discretion, you may need to allow seven to 10 days before returning to work. Full results are expected within three months.
What are the typical results from the use of facial implants?
Results may vary, but typically, refinement, enhancement, balancing, and strengthening of facial structures is achieved. Dr. Janiga will give you a more realistic expectation of your personal outcome during your consultation.
Do you perform Facial Implants in your Reno/Tahoe office?
Yes. We evaluate and treat patients who desire a Facial Implant. Initial consultation length varies, but is usually not more than 15-30 minutes. The actual procedure will take longer and will be discussed in detail when your procedure is scheduled.
