Before Your BodyTite Body Contouring Procedure
Before your BodyTite procedure, you’ll want to first schedule a consultation with Dr. Timothy Janiga. During this appointment, he will review your medical history, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you have. He’ll determine if this is the right procedure for you. If it is, he will give you pre-treatment instructions. You’ll want to avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and smoking. You’ll also want to stay as hydrated as possible, stay at a stable weight, and ensure you’re ready for the recovery process.
The BodyTite Procedure
During a BodyTite minimally-invasive procedure, our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Timothy Janiga, uses Radiofrequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) radiofrequency energy as an alternative to traditional liposuction and plastic surgery to remove excess fat. After local anesthesia and sedative are administered, a port site is made, and a wand is inserted under the skin’s surface. The BodyTite device is moved over the target area, using RF energy to melt away stubborn fat deposits, tighten skin, and contour your body. This is usually followed by liposuction through the same incision site to remove the melted fat cells and further contour the area.
The BodyTite procedure is ideal for areas of the body with unwanted fat and loose skin. Some of the most popular treatment sites include the stomach, arms, male chest, knees, and thighs. You can receive treatment in multiple areas in a single visit. Each area takes approximately 30 minutes to treat. BodyTite is an outpatient procedure so you can return home right away.
