The traditional The ThreeForMe™ is an even distribution of treatment for red, brown, and collagen with about 3-5 days of social downtime from swelling. Dr. Janiga saw that the patients in Reno who live at high elevation and are highly involved in outdoor activities needed more treatments for sunspots and veins from their sun damage, wanted less recovery time, but still wanted more collagen stimulation than IPL alone would offer, so she modified the treatments and created the ThreeForMe™ Refresh.
The ThreeForMe™ Refresh is the same treatment for brown and red areas as the full ThreeForMe™ with IPL, but the collagen stimulation is turned down some to decrease recovery and allow this to become a lunchtime procedure where patients can have it done 3-4 times per year, and go right back to work afterward. ThreeForMe Refresh uses the same lasers and targets the same problems as ThreeForMe, but the resurfacing settings are less intense. The Refresh is designed for those people who have more sun damage, prefer a series of milder, quicker treatments rather than one longer and more intense treatment. These milder treatments allow less downtime and a quicker return to normal activities than the more intense ThreeForMe. In general, 2-3 ThreeForMe Refresh treatments are equivalent to one ThreeForMe treatment.

For the ThreeForMe™ Refresh, numbing is usually unnecessary, so you will come in and get started after your face is cleaned, unless you would prefer numbing medication. Dr. Jennifer or her associates will select the appropriate laser settings, using gentler energy to treat your skin concerns. The first and pass treats discoloration, redness, and veins on the outer layers of the skin, and the second stimulates deeper collagen production to address fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. This procedure only requires about 30 minutes, and patients experience minimal discomfort, making it the perfect “lunchtime” procedure.
There is minimal downtime needed after the ThreeForMe™ Refresh, so patients can get right back to their routine. Some minor redness and swelling, similar to a mild sunburn, may be present for a few hours following treatment. Patients should avoid excess sun exposure to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and skin irritation.
You will see a reduction in facial veins immediately, a reduction in generalized redness over a few treatments, and a reduction in sun spots with each treatment.
