BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat stubborn fat and excess skin. BodyTite for larger or multiple areas can be performed in the operating room under general anesthesia, or for smaller or solitary areas, it can be done under local anesthesia in the office. Dr. Timothy Janiga numbs the area first using tumescent local anesthesia, then makes a small port site in the targeted area before inserting a small wand under the skin’s surface. That wand is passed under and on top of the skin, “sandwiching” the skin with radiofrequency heat and tightening. BodyTite has controlled temperature regulation and real-time monitoring to ensure the optimum safety and best outcomes. Once the BodyTite treatment is complete, the wand is removed, and any excess melted fat is then removed with a traditional liposuction canula, giving you the best of both worlds: fat removal and tightening.
