Most of the over the counter medications that you can buy for eyelashes are conditioners or thickeners that will make them look or feel thicker for a short period of time. Latisse® is proven to grow longer, thicker and darker lashes permanently with continued use.
Apply Latisse® nightly, directly to the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes.
Latisse® can be absorbed by soft contact lenses, which can increase the concentration and cause discomfort in the eye itself. Therefore, contact lenses should be removed prior to application and should be reinserted 15 minutes post-application.
You will usually start seeing results after about three weeks of use, but maximum improvement takes approximately six to eight weeks.
If you forget to apply Latisse® for a few days, there will be no noticeable changes, but it may take longer to get to maximum improvement. If you completely stop Latisse®, eyelash growth is expected to return to its pre-treatment level over a few weeks. Your lashes will gradually look the way they had before using Latisse®.
