EmbraceRF is the most advanced procedure currently available for non-surgical skin tightening of the face and neck. It uses directional heat for the deep layers of the skin to mold the fat and stimulate collagen and tightening. The procedure is usually performed in the office under local anesthesia. You will have topical numbing placed for about 20 minutes before starting. The topical numbing medication will be removed, and local anesthesia will be placed in the treatment area by Dr. Timothy Janiga.
After you are thoroughly numb, your EmbraceRF procedure will start. Two separate types of radiofrequency devices will be used during your treatment session, a dual approach that is only available with EmbraceRF technology. First, the FaceTite wand will be inserted under the skin to deliver RF heat through a tiny port site to tighten skin and melt stubborn fat cells. Second, focused treatment with Morpheus8 will give you added collagen stimulation and improvement in skin tone and texture. Morpheus8 is a type of RF microneedling that uses tiny needles to deliver RF energy into the surface layers of the skin. Dr. Janiga will treat the lower part of the face, the jawline, jowls, the submental fat pad, and the neck to give you maximum tightening and lower facial fat reduction.
Because this is a minimally invasive procedure, there is less downtime. Recovery usually takes one week, but, depending on your social obligations, you may want to plan for two weeks for most of the swelling and bruising to completely resolve. Most patients have mild discomfort, along with some swelling and bruising, for about one week after their RF treatment, and mild redness that might last a few days. While patients can return to work and light activities within a couple of days after the procedure, strenuous exercise should be avoided for 1-2 weeks.
After your procedure, you will notice immediate tightening of the skin, which will continue to improve over the next few months. If you are looking to have this performed before a big event, we recommend leaving 2-3 weeks for full recovery and results to take effect. Many patients find that their younger-looking skin helps them feel more confident in social settings and at work.
