For optimal treatment, patients should avoid alcohol, aspirin, and other blood-thinning medications or herbal supplements, since these can increase the risk of bruising after treatment. Before your appointment, notify your doctor of any blood-thinning medications and other prescriptions you are on, and do not stop any prescription medications without discussing it with your doctor first.

Your provider will begin by cleaning your face with an antibacterial wipe. Usually, a topical numbing agent will be applied for about 20-30 minutes. After the anesthetic is removed, the gel will be injected into the skin’s surface with numerous minuscule injection sites across the target area. These small injections are a part of the microdroplet technique intended to create a uniformly distributed result. The entire process will take less than 30 min and causes minimal discomfort. Results vary depending on lifestyle factors, metabolism, and skincare, but often last 6 months or more.
After treatment, you will see the injection points for a few hours on the surface of the skin. Shortly after the injection points fade, you’ll begin to notice the results. Initially, there may be some mild redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness, but this will subside within the first week. To minimize swelling, patients can take over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication and use cold compresses. There is minimal downtime, and all normal activities can be resumed almost immediately after Skinvive treatment.
You will notice a smoother skin texture, softening of fine lines, and more radiant skin after the first few days of healing. Patients will enjoy a lasting glow that can be maintained with additional Skinvive treatments incorporated into the larger skincare routines. Results last at least 6 months for most patients.
