How Much Does a Tummy Tuck Cost?

How Much Does a Tummy Tuck Cost?

You’ve tried it all. Exercising until you “feel the burn,” doing crunches until you can’t stand up straight for days, and cutting carbs until all you do is dream about ice cream, pastries, and pizza. We get it. Sometimes, the greatest of intentions still leave you shy of the goal line: . So it is with a flat, smooth stomach and toned abs. Diet and exercise are an important part,  but sometimes nature needs a little extra help when it comes to being toned and tight.

Enter the abdominoplasty – or, as it’s better known, the tummy tuck.

One of our most popular procedures, the tummy tuck, is a surgical procedure that creates a smoother-looking abdomen by removing extra skin and fat that often results from significant weight loss, pregnancy, age, and other factors.

Dr. Timothy Janiga performs tummy tucks at Reno outpatient centers. The procedure takes about two hours, with another couple of hours for post-operative recovery time. The best part comes several weeks later when you’re back on your feet and enjoying a tighter, slimmer waistline and abs.

Tummy Tuck Cost

On average, a full tummy tuck will cost between $7,000 and $15,000, depending on your tailored procedure. We find this ballpark estimate holds true for most patients, but we encourage you to set up a consultation with Dr. Janiga to go over the specifics of your procedure. During your consultation, Dr. Janiga will give you detailed pricing information and discuss specific goals for how you’d like to look once your procedure has been performed.

The Mini-Tummy Tuck Option

A standard tummy tuck is a two-part operation all performed at one time. This includes repairing the abdominal wall and then removing excess skin and tissue. With a mini tummy tuck,  only  a small amount of tissue from below the belly button is removed, and the resulting scar can be easily disguised. In short, the mini tummy tuck removes a limited amount of skin and the belly button is not moved. This can be a less invasive and lower cost option if you’re not looking to remove extensive amounts of tissue. As always, we suggest you set up a consultation to discuss which procedure works best for you.
