How Much Does a Tummy Tuck Cost?

You’ve tried it all. Exercising until you “feel the burn,” doing crunches until you can’t stand up straight for days, cutting carbs until all you do is dream about ice cream, pastries and pizza. We get it. Sometimes, the greatest of intentions still leave you shy of the goal line. So it is with a flat, smooth stomach and toned abs. All the diet and exercise in the world can get you to a certain point, but sometimes nature needs a little extra help when it comes to being toned and tight.

Enter the abdominoplasty, or, as it’s better known, the tummy tuck.

One of our most popular procedures, the tummy tuck, is a surgical procedure that creates a smoother looking abdomen by removing extra skin and fat that often results from significant weight loss, pregnancy, age and other factors.

Dr. Timothy Janiga performs tummy tucks at a Reno outpatient center. The procedure takes about two hours, with another couple of hours for post-operative recovery time. The best part comes several weeks later when you’re back on your feet and enjoying a tighter, slimmer waistline and abs.

Tummy Tuck Cost

On average, a full tummy tuck will cost between $7,000 and $8,000, and this price includes the Operating Room and anesthesia. We find this ballpark estimate holds true for most patients, but we encourage you to set up a consultation with Dr. Janiga to go over the specifics of your procedure. During your consultation, Dr. Janiga will give you detailed pricing information and discuss specific goals for how you’d like to look once your procedure has been performed.

The Mini-Tummy Tuck Option

A standard tummy tuck is actually a two-part operation, all done at one time. This includes repairing the abdominal wall and the second involving the excision of excess skin and tissue. With a mini tummy tuck, we only remove a small amount of tissue from below the belly button, and the resulting scar can be easily disguised. In short, the mini tummy tuck removes a limited amount of skin and the belly button is not moved. As always, we suggest you set up a consultation to discuss which procedure works best for you.

Whichever option you choose, keep in mind that Janiga MDs has vast experience in combining an abdominoplasty with other procedures such as breast augmentation, breast reduction, liposuction, a facelift or rhinoplasty.
