Janiga MDs Introduces Telemedicine Option
As promised Janiga MDs has implemented telemedicine. Telemedicine has been around for years and has continued to improve over time. We will be calling you for scheduling and rescheduling of appointments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You may be offered a telemedicine appointment, or you may request one, and we will accommodate if possible.
For Dr. Timothy Janiga’s cosmetic plastic surgery patients, he is able to telemedicine for consults, questions, and most follow-ups after the first post-op visit, where drains and sutures are removed. For Dr. Janiga’s medical patients, insurance companies including Medicare have temporarily amended their rules allowing telemedicine to be a covered benefit. Depending on your insurance, your co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles may apply. For all patients, medical or cosmetic, if you have an urgent issue or something comes up in your telemedicine visit, you will be able to come into the office for those urgent issues.
For Dr. Jennifer Janiga’s dermatology patients, telemedicine will be utilized at a temporarily reduced rate during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are not able to do full skin screenings by telemedicine, but we are able to look at individual lesions that are concerning, rashes, acne, medication refills, and other conditions such as pink eye. If Dr. Jennifer Janiga deems a problem worrisome at your telemedicine visit, she will bring you into the office for that urgent visit. The telemedicine fee will be applied to your office visit. You will only have additional fees due if you need a biopsy or removal of a lesion based on the procedure needed.
