What is Laser Resurfacing?

With advances in technology, cosmetic services can now help you achieve a younger, more radiant appearance. By targeting specific types of cells in the skin, resurfacing can significantly repair aged or sun-damaged skin.

Resurfacing can be done with a laser or with radiofrequency. Laser Resurfacing delivers CO2 or erbium to the deep layers of the skin to stimulate changes while radiofrequency resurfacing uses radiofrequency technology to achieve the desired result. At Janiga MDs, we offer all three types of resurfacing and these technologies can be tailored and combined for your type of skin, desired recovery time, and optimal outcomes. Janiga MDs is also excited to offer ThreeForMe®, which targets three different skin problems with one treatment.

Resurfacing procedures are used to treat fine to moderate wrinkles, acne scarring, brown spots, stretch marks, crepe skin, and they do tighten the skin. They are often used on the face, neck and chest.

ThreeForMe® helps improve three common skin conditions – wrinkles, sun damage & facial veins – all at once.

The Procedure

Prior to your procedure, your face will be cleaned thoroughly and the area of treatment is numbed using a topical anesthetic.

Resurfacing treatments typically take between 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the size of the targeted region and the level of intensity you and Dr. Janiga agree upon.

Dr. Jennifer is the best! There are lots of options in this area when it comes to Botox and fillers and some people are better than others at projecting the outcome. She is very straight forward, tells you exactly how much she will be doing, what the results will be and at what cost. I have referred her to many of my friends all to their delight. - Anonymous
