What are Saline Breast Implants?
Women who are naturally small-breasted and who seek an increase in breast size can be excellent candidates for breast augmentation with saline implants. Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water and are filled in the operating room to your desired size. Breast augmentation can also restore breast size and shape after pregnancy, breastfeeding, significant weight loss or from the aging process.

The Procedure
Not unlike silicone implants, saline implant procedures are performed by Dr. Timothy Janiga in an outpatient surgery center using general anesthesia. It involves an incision under the crease of the breast, around the bottom of the areola, or in the armpit, depending on the specifics of each surgery. Dr. Janiga will then place the saline implant under the muscle or breast gland.
This procedure takes one hour to complete with another one to two hours of recovery time before going home.
