What is Dysport® for Men?
At our office, we understand that the facial anatomy of men and women are different, and we work to achieve each patient’s individual aesthetic goals. That is why we offer Dysport® for men, a treatment that aims to turn back the clock for men for a more youthful look.
Dysport® is an injectable treatment like Botox®, made up of botulinum toxin type A. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the targeted muscles. When the area is unable to contract, the associated facial lines will smooth out. Dysport® can improve the appearance of wrinkles on the upper face, as well as soften lines around the eyes.
Who is a Candidate?
Men who are unhappy with lines and wrinkles along their forehead or around the eyes due to aging can often benefit from Dysport®. Ideal candidates will be in good overall health, and fully understand the benefits and limitations of Dysport®. A consultation can help to best determine candidacy.
The Procedure
The Dysport® procedure is simple and straightforward. A very small needle will be used to inject the Dysport® into the targeted area(s), which should take less than 15 minutes to complete. While Dysport® injections are not especially painful, a slight pinch might be felt during each injection. Patients may request a topical anesthetic to be used prior to treatment.

Results & Recovery
Following a Dysport® treatment, patients may experience mild redness, rare bruising, and transient swelling at the injection site, which should resolve with time. Results from Dysport® can last from 3-4 months.
