What is a Thigh Lift?
Sometimes known as thighplasty, a thigh lift has long been used to help patients achieve a more youthful look by producing smoother and firmer skin as well as a more proportional shape.
A thigh lift is effective for patients who have excess skin after significant weight loss or for targeting excess thigh tissue that diet that exercising just can’t resolve. A combination of excess fat removal and skin tightening, a thigh lift can assist in helping patients achieve a shapelier, more aesthetic appearance. This procedure leaves patients with a more desirable contour and tighter, smoother skin.
The thigh lift procedure is performed by Dr. Timothy Janiga using general anesthesia at an accredited surgical center in Reno. Depending on the patient’s anatomy as well as their desired results, thigh lift techniques can be tailored to best serve each patient.
An incision is made along the fold of the groin, which makes it easily hidden, allowing Dr. Timothy Janiga to remove fat and “lift” the skin tighter.
Results & Recovery
Recovery involves some swelling and bruising that can last up to three weeks. Most people are able to return to work within one to two weeks, with full results expected in nine to 12 months.
