What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian butt lift will lift and augment the buttocks using fat transfer. It is a surgical procedure that creates a rounder, more toned, and lifted buttocks region while at the same time removing unwanted fat from other areas of the body.
The Procedure
The Brazilian butt lift procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia. First, Dr. Timothy Janiga will remove fat from one area of the body using liposuction. Fat is usually sourced from the hips, stomach, or thighs.
The fat is then purified and prepared for injection. The fat for augmentation of the buttocks is inserted into the desired area through small port sites to create a fuller, rounder, and lifted buttocks.

Recovery & Results
After a Brazilian butt lift, patients will have a few stitches at each port site and will wear compression garments for a few weeks afterwards. Swelling is expected, and will last for several weeks. In addition, patients should avoid sitting on their buttocks for two weeks after fat transfer to the buttocks, and should try to sleep on their sides or stomachs during this initial healing period.
Final results are visible at about three to four months after the surgery.
