What is Volbella?
Volbella is a dermal filler from the Juvéderm® family that’s used to help define the lips and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, Volbella is ideal for treating the more delicate areas of the face.
The Procedure
On the day of your appointment, Dr. Jennifer Janiga or her associates will apply a topical numbing medication to the treatment area and let it set for at least 30 minutes.
All dermal fillers, including Juvéderm® Volbella, must be injected under the skin. There is a mild amount of discomfort associated with the procedure, but it is usually mitigated by the topical anesthetic as well as the lidocaine found within the solution.
In total, the treatment takes approximately 30 minutes and requires little to no downtime.
Recovery & Results
Recovery from Juvéderm® Volbella is minimal, allowing you to return to work and everyday activities immediately after your treatment. Some mild redness, tenderness or swelling are common following the procedure, but should subside within one to two weeks.
