Liposuction: A Sleeker, Slimmer, Smoother Silhouette
Liposuction: Getting Rid of Stubborn Fat Pockets
Liposuction has become the perfect adjunct to a healthy lifestyle, especially here in the Reno/Tahoe area. Health-conscious individuals from all walks of life enjoy our scenic beauty, and the myriad outdoor activities our region offers. During the summer months, when all our sunshine means maximum skin exposure, many people desire to have the smoothest silhouette possible. Liposuction (aka Lipoplasty) allows an individual to refine their curves and contours.
The inner and outer thighs, the buttocks, the lower belly, the neck and chin, the upper arms and several other locations can serve as unsightly or undesirable fat repositories. Taking advantage of the most popular cosmetic surgery in America to sculpt and trim those problem areas makes good sense.
Liposuction Does Not Replace Diet and Exercise
Many of us have experienced the joy of needing to buy clothing in smaller sizes. Weight loss is as good for your attitude as it is for your heart, and proper diet & exercise are really the only sure way to shed pounds and inches. Yet, there often are stubborn pockets of fatty deposits that resist every attempt at being exercised away. This is where Liposuction has proven to be an invaluable ally for people seeking a sleeker, smoother, more even silhouette.
However, it is important to note that Liposuction will never be a viable replacement for proper diet and exercise. Dr. Timothy Janiga recommends a commitment to a overall healthy lifestyle. All of the reductions in inches and pounds can quickly be reversed, if a patient feels Lipo was simply a ticket to indulge.
Liposuction is Popular Here in Northern Nevada
Our Liposuction procedures are performed in our Reno office, for small areas, and at our local surgery center for large areas, utilizing general anesthesia. The procedure usually takes one to two hours, with an hour for post-op recovery. Full results can be expected as quickly as three weeks, but some patients can take as long as three months to experience the complete benefits, and minor swelling can persist for as many as six months. Dr. Janiga will encourage patients not to return to work or strenuous physical activity for 10 days to two weeks, and to wear compression garments for as long as six weeks.
We would like to encourage you to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Timothy Janiga, so you can evaluate Before & After pictures and get as much information as you feel you need, in order to make an informed decision. We take great pride in the warmth and hospitality we offer every one of our guests, and truly look forward to serving you.
