What is QWO®?
Are you bothered by stubborn cellulite on your buttocks that just won’t budge? Cellulite is a very common condition that results in dimpled skin. In fact, up to 75% of women are affected by cellulite, which can lead to self-consciousness and frustration. Unfortunately, in some cases, it cannot be treated through weight loss and exercise. Thankfully, cellulite can now be improved with a groundbreaking injectable treatment called QWO®.
QWO® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. This treatment consists of injecting an enzyme called collagenase. QWO works by breaking down the fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and triggering the growth of new collagen. Plus, there is little to no downtime required, making it a great option for those with busy schedules.
This procedure is ideal for adult women aged 18 and older who would like to smooth out stubborn cellulite. However, you should not undergo this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any collagenase, or have an active infection in the treatment area.
QWO® is an injectable treatment that targets the dimples in the buttocks using a fine needle. To begin your treatment, your provider will cleanse the skin and skillfully inject the QWO®. Each treatment session may include up to 24 injected dimples. At each treatment session, the areas of dimpling will be marked and treated, there will be more injections depending on the severity of your cellulite. The overall process is quick, with injections taking as little as 10-15 minutes to complete.
