Restylane Silk takes about 30 minutes and is performed in our Reno office. To begin, Dr. Janiga or one of her associates will apply a topical numbing agent to the lip area to keep you comfortable. Once you are ready, the Restylane Silk product will be injected into the lips using a fine needle. Most patients do not find this process to be painful, and they can immediately return to work or other activities after the procedure.
After Restylane injections, patients may have mild swelling, bruising, and redness around the injection sites, but these symptoms only last a few days. There is minimal downtime and recovery, and patients can immediately return to most normal activities. However, Dr. Janiga advises that patients avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours to reduce swelling and discomfort. The use of cold compresses and anti-inflammatory medications can also alleviate any mild discomfort you may experience during the first few days.
While some immediate results can be seen, with naturally plump lips and a more defined shape, it can take up to two weeks for the filler to settle and swelling to fully reduce. Final results last an average of 6-9 months and can be maintained with follow-up appointments.

Dr. Jennifer is the best! There are lots of options in this area when it comes to Botox and fillers and some people are better than others at projecting the outcome.
