The Procedure
For the ThreeForMe Refresh, numbing is unnecessary, so you will come in and get started after your face is cleaned. Dr. Jennifer or her associates will select the appropriate laser settings, using gentler energy to treat your skin concerns. Laser energy will target the pigment and redness in the outer layers of the skin, while deeper layers are targeted to stimulate new collagen growth. This procedure only requires about 30 minutes, making it the perfect “lunchtime” procedure.
Difference between a ThreeForMe and a ThreeForMe Refresh
ThreeForMe Refresh uses the same lasers and targets the same problems as the ThreeForMe, but at lower settings. The Refresh is designed for those people who prefer a series of milder, quicker treatments rather than one longer and more intense treatment. These milder treatments allow less downtime and a quicker return to normal activities than the more intense ThreeForMe. In general, 3-4 ThreeForMe Refresh treatments are equivalent to one ThreeForMe treatment.
Results and Recovery
There is no downtime needed after the ThreeForMe Refresh, so patients can get right back to their routine. Some mild redness and swelling may be present for a few hours following treatment. You may not see a reduction in facial veins immediately. Still, over the next several weeks, you can enjoy smoother, refreshed skin as the treated skin naturally responds to treatment and new collagen and healthier skin cells are produced. One treatment session will give you improvements, but for optimal results, most patients will have 3-4 treatment sessions per year as maintenance.
