Daxxify® is unique among other products because it uses a novel peptide as a stabilizer instead of human or animal byproducts, like human serum albumin. Daxxify® is a long-lasting frown line treatment powered by a novel peptide. This product can last up to twice as long as alternative neuromodulators Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau due to its manufacturing process. Most other neuromodulators are FDA-approved to last up to 3-4 months, with no more than four treatments a year required to maintain your desired results. Daxxify® is unique, and some patients may only need 2-3 treatments a year to maintain results.
Before your Daxxify® treatment, you’ll want to first have a consultation with one of our specialty providers. During this appointment, we will review your medical history, answer any questions, and discuss your aesthetic goals. From there, we will determine if Daxxify® is the right treatment option for you.
To prepare for your injections, you’ll want to avoid blood thinners unless prescribed by a physician, in this case please discuss this directly with your provider. We also recommend that you don’t have any active breakouts or skin infections in the treatment area. You should also come to your appointment with a clean face.
Since Daxxify® is a minimally invasive treatment process, anesthesia is not required. The procedure will involve cleaning the injection sites and gentle insertion of the injection in your desired treatment area to smooth frown lines or other types of facial lines and wrinkles. The entire treatment length typically takes between 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Daxxify® injections can be used alone or in combination with dermal fillers to address deeper wrinkles and facial folds.
Immediately after your treatment, you can resume your daily activities without missing work, but we do ask you to refrain from aggressive exercise, applying pressure to your face, or having a facial massage for the first few hours afterward. You can notice healthy skin free from wrinkles within the following 2-5 days after your Daxxify® treatment.
The studies and most patients reveal that Daxxify® starts working faster than other products, in as little as 2 days. Results can last six months, but some patients will have similar results to other toxins with a 3–4-month longevity.
